Butler falls to Wichita State 14-8 in NCAA Division I baseball as former Staley player Thomas takes the mound

On Friday, March 13, at 3:05 p.m., the Butler Bulldogs, featuring former Staley High School standout Jake Thomas, dropped a 14-8 decision to the Wichita State Shockers in NCAA Division I baseball.

The teams played at Eck Stadium in what was their second meeting of the season against each other. The Bulldogs were defeated 27-3 by the Shockers in their prior game on Thursday, March 12.

Thomas pitched 4.1 innings, surrendering nine earned runs with three walks and four strikeouts.

Butler’s next game is set for Saturday, March 14, at 1:05 p.m. at Eck Stadium, again facing Wichita State Shockers.
