While you were eating leftover turkey on Saturday night, deputies stopped a vehicle with a fake temp tag in Excelsior Springs. The driver pulled into a gas station. Deputies asked the driver to move the lottery tickets that were covering the VIN (vehicle identification number) on the dash and discovered the car was stolen from Kansas City. Deputies were able to find the owner, who came to the scene to reclaim their vehicle. The driver, who’d had a fake key made for the vehicle with her, was taken into custody.
