Jake Thomas, an alumnus of Staley High School, took the mound for the Butler Bulldogs in their NCAA Division I baseball game on Sunday, March 8, at 1 p.m. The team was defeated 9-4 by the Morehead State Eagles.

Bulldog Park served as the venue for the third meeting of the season between the Bulldogs and Eagles. In their contest on Saturday, March 7, the Bulldogs were edged out 11-8.

On the mound, Thomas allowed one earned run across 4.2 innings, walking one batter and striking out two.

The Bulldogs will face Bellarmine Knights at Knights Field on Tuesday, March 10, with a 2 p.m. first pitch.
