Liberty High alum Bennett Stirtz helps Iowa edge Florida in NCAA Tournament

Former Liberty High School basketball star Bennett Stirtz played a key role as the Iowa Hawkeyes claimed a 73-72 win over the Florida Gators in the NCAA Tournament on Sunday, March 22.

The matchup was held at Benchmark International Arena with tipoff at 7:10 p.m.

Stirtz finished the game with 13 points, five rebounds, five assists and one steal, logging 39 minutes of play.

Iowa’s next matchup is scheduled for Thursday, March 26 at 6:30 p.m. at Toyota Center.
