At the Daviess County Detention Center, members of the Special Response Team participate in edge weapon defense training.

These deputies are vital to the safety and security of the jail, responding to disturbances and participating in searches or other situations that may involve an uncooperative inmate.

Jailer Art Maglinger says this team is vital to public safety and the deputies develop a genuine camaraderie working together.
