Former Smithville High School standout Spencer Engle and the Rockhurst Hawks suffered a narrow 86-85 defeat to the Northern Michigan Wildcats in the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament on Saturday, March 14.

The matchup, held at Alumni Arena at 7:30 p.m., marked Rockhurst’s first tournament game against Northern Michigan.
