Of the 11,688 people living in Excelsior Springs in 2020, 53.2 percent (6,215) were women and 46.8 percent (5,473) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the Clay Reporter.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 42. In the 65 and over age range, there were 1,150 females and 706 males.
