**House Fire**
Just before 3 am, crews were dispatched to the 1000 block of NE 69th Street for a report of smoke filling a house.
Battalion 1 arrived on scene and reported nothing showing from a single story residence. Upon conducting a 360 size-up, Chief discovered smoke coming from the rear of the house.
Ladder 1 arrived shortly after and assumed fire attack. A line was stretched through the garage to the stairs leading to the basement. Once the door to the basement was opened, heavy black smoke was discovered. Ladder 1 made entry into the basement and discovered a fire burning in a back room.
Engine 1 arrived on scene and assumed ventilation and overhaul.
Crews worked approximately 30 minutes to bring the fire under control.
No injuries are reported at this time.
