Clay County's proposed 2023 budget is now available to view online! The proposed $113 million operating budget accounts for the priorities of the Clay County Commission and is meant to invest in public safety, infrastructure and employees of the County.
At last night's Commission Session, the Clay County Commission heard the presentation for the proposed general fund. Projects that would be funded include the addition of two full-time and two part-time deputy juvenile officers, repairs and replacements of aging roofs at group homes, the creation of a victim advocate position, improvements to security at group homes and the Clay County Detention Center, enhanced audio and video technology in the court systems, and the updating of Clay County's Comprehensive Plan to track future growth and development.
