On Friday, Feb. 28, former Liberty High School standout Ashton Maloney’s college team won in an NCAA Division I softball game

On Friday, Feb. 28, former Liberty High School standout Ashton Maloney’s current college team, the Texas Longhorns, won 9-1 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Abilene Christian Wildcats.

The game took place at Red & Charline McCombs Field. This was their first matchup against the Wildcats this season.

The Longhorns’ next game is scheduled for Saturday, March 1 at 2:05 p.m. at Red & Charline McCombs Field against New Mexico State Aggies.
