On Sunday, Feb. 9, three former Smithville High School standouts, including Chester Brooks, George Fisher and Sam Wornson’s current college team, the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats, won 20-4 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Christian Brothers Buccaneers.

The game took place at Nadicksbernd Field. This was their fourth matchup against the Buccaneers this season.

The Bearcats’ next game is scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 23 at 3 p.m. at Warren Turner Field against Missouri State Lions.
