On Monday, Feb. 24, Smithville High School standouts, including Chester Brooks, competed in an NCAA Division II baseball game for Northwest Missouri State Bearcats

On Monday, Feb. 24, three former Smithville High School standouts, including Chester Brooks, George Fisher and Sam Wornson’s current college team, the Northwest Missouri State Bearcats, lost 16-3 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Missouri State Lions.

The game took place at Warren Turner Field. This was their third matchup against the Lions this season.

The Bearcats’ next game is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 27 at 1 p.m. at Bearcat Baseball Field against Concordia Golden Bears.
